WIth the sucess of the last 2 sessions, and the cancellation of the Sydney Harbour Classic previously marked for this weekend (27/28th Feb), we've decided to hold one more ocean session. Round 3 of MOCC Ocean Adventures returns to Torquay, Great Ocean surf coast.

[SLIGHT CHANGE] We were hoping to make it a weekend paddle camp, unfortunately we were unable to secure accommodation. So we have amended this weekend to only be a Sunday (28th) day trip only .

What does this mean:

  • Thursday 25th Feb: Training will go ahead as normal. Book via our Training page.
  • Saturday 27th Feb: Training will be back on, the session has been added back to our training page for you to register.
    • We will load the small craft (& V3’s) onto the trailer after our training session on Saturday.
    • If you are joining us on Sunday, there is an expectation that you will help load the canoes.
  • Sunday 28th Feb: Meet at Fisherman’s beach, Torquay by 8am

We will be joining Geelong  & Torquay OCC for a combined splash, possibly some paddlers from Inland OCC and other clubs may come down.

If you've joined us for the first two Ocean Sessions, you'll know how much fun this can be, now you get the opportunity to play with the small craft. If you missed one or both of the previous outings, here's your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Additional Notes:

  • Make sure you bring a PFD and paddle.
  • Parking in the gravel section down by the beach, I believe, is limited to vehicles with trailers. Please be wary of the parking signs/limits as we don’t want you to get a fine (donate to the local council fund).
  • We will also take this opportunity to run the small craft proficiency test, this is a mandatory requirement if you want to book/use our club small craft.

I would like to extend the invite to anyone that has their own small craft to come along and join us. We will have 4 spots on the trailer if you don’t have your own cradles/transport option.
Yes, you will need to bring your own straps / tie downs to secure your small craft.
