About this Event

We are excited to bring you the Nordic Kayaks Great Ocean Paddle on Saturday 5th February 2022!

The Nordic Kayaks Great Ocean Paddle 2022 is a fast paced 20km downwind race along the iconic Victorian Surf Coast. Or you could try our family friendly 5km Adventure Paddle around Fishermans beach.

Grab your ski, SUP, outrigger or paddle board and join us on the 20km downwind Nordic Kayak Great Ocean Road paddle or the 5km Adventure Paddle for Victoria's premier ocean paddling marathon.

You will traverse the iconic surf breaks of Bells Breach, Winkipop and Torquay and experience one of the world's most spectacular downwind paddle race.

5km Adventure Paddle (Sat 5th):

Registration: Saturday 5th Feb, 6:30am - 7:30am - Fishermans Beach, Torquay
Race Briefing - 8.45am
Race start - 9am, Fishermans Beach, Torquay
Finish - Fisherman's Beach, Torquay

20km Downwind Nordic Kayak Great Ocean Road Paddle (Sun 6th):

Registration: Saturday 5th Feb, 2pm - 3pm OR Sunday 6th Feb, 6:30am - 7:30am - Fishermans Beach, Torquay
Race Briefing - 8.45am
Race start - 9am. Point Roadknight, Anglesea.
Finish - Fisherman's Beach, Torquay

The race will start at Point Roadknight, Anglesea and will finish at Fishermans Beach, Torquay. Please note the course may be reversed pending weather conditions.

Presentations:

2pm, Bomboras Pop Up Bar, Fisherman's Beach, Torquay (47 The Esplanade, Torquay, above The Salty Dog Cafe)
